Memory of the place

A little history

The Dukes of Burgundy made the vermilion wine of Beaune a wine of prestige. In 1443, Chancellor Nicolas Rolin founded the Hôtel-Dieu; since the 19th century, its Hospices have auctioned their wines every third weekend of November.

The style

In the glass

Reds of red and black fruit, undergrowth and spice, supple and round, open earlier than those of the Côte de Nuits. Whites of almond and white flowers, all roundness.

At the table

Poultry, veal, game birds; fish in sauce with the white.
